National Road Safety Program 2025–2030
The primary objective of the National Road Safety Program 2025–2030, approved yesterday by the Government, is to reduce the number of fatalities and injuries in road accidents by 50% by 2030.
The program sets out specific actions to be implemented over the next five years to enhance safety on public roads and protect all road users: drivers, pedestrians, cyclists, and passengers.
It is aligned with national and international strategic documents in the field, including the Mobility Strategy 2030, the National Development Strategy European Moldova 2030 and the National Action Plan for Moldova's accession to the European Union 2024–2027.
The implementation of the Program will significantly contribute to increasing road safety by reducing accidents and promoting a culture of responsibility in traffic, MIDR said.
