Ninety pharmacies opened under Pharmacy in Your Village project in Moldova
Ninety pharmacies have been opened in villages across Moldova, under the Pharmacy in Your Village project, which means medicines are closer to citizens and new job opportunities were created. The government’s spokesperson, Daniel Voda, today made statements to this effect at a news conference.
He highlighted that another five pharmacies had recently been opened in the villages of Palanca, Stefan Voda district, Marinici, Nisporeni district, Larga Noua, Pascani, Cahul district, and Lipnic, Ocnita district.
‘’Thus, more and more citizens have access to subsidized medicines, electronic prescriptions and pharmaceutical services provided in rural areas. The project has reached 90 settlements from 27 districts of the country. This fact proves that Moldova can bring quality pharmaceutical services closer to citizens,’’ said Daniel Voda.
The government spokesperson also said that 'the opening of new pharmacies in villages is a real support for citizens, especially for the elderly or those with mobility difficulties.’’
Since the beginning of this year, 38 pharmacies have been inaugurated in localities across the country with state subsidies.
The Pharmacy in Your Village project has been implemented starting from 2024, after the government approved the regulation, according to which entrepreneurs who will open pharmacies in villages where there is no pharmaceutical assistance will receive a free license and monthly subsidies ranging from 10,000 to 20,000 lei, depending on the income registered.
