World Blood Donor Day // Speaker calls for solidarity
On the occasion of the national voluntary blood donation campaign, Speaker Igor Grosu made a public appeal for solidarity and civic involvement. The official emphasized the importance of blood donation as an essential act for saving lives, thanking all the voluntary donors who offer a chance at life.
"Donate blood, give hope. Together we save lives" – this is the slogan of this year's campaign, highlighting the vital role of donors in the medical system and in supporting those in critical situations.
Grosu said he donated blood just this morning at the collection point organized at the Palace of the Republic and urged other officials to join him.
Grosu suggested a moment of gratitude: "Let's applaud all the donors who do this very important thing!"
Today, an event celebrating World Blood Donor Day takes place at the Palace of the Republic. The event aims to encourage voluntary blood donation and raise awareness about the necessity of this altruistic gesture for public health.
