Youth centres to be developed in Moldovan capital
Chisinau, 20 May /MOLDPRES/ - Youth centres will be developed in the Chisinau municipality. The first institution of this kind will be inaugurated today. The action has become possible, after Education, Culture and Research Minister Monica Babuc and the acting general mayor of Chisinau, Ruslan Codreanu, signed a partnership agreement between the two institutions today.
Following the document’s signing, Monica Babuc said that the ministry he led had signed similar agreements with 20 district councils of Moldova. Under the document, the Education Ministry will supply the newly created centres with technology and furniture and the local public administrations will be in charge of paying salaries to employees.
„Our one-year-long work and every effort made for the launch of the first Municipal Youth Centre from Chisinau has been a success. I am happy that, starting from today, Chisinau aligns with those 20 settlements where youth centres were set up. This is a centre opened for young people and by young people. I do not want a centre of the city hall’s civil servants and employees, but a centre of young people, where they should develop the services they need. How these centres are going to act depends on young people from Chisinau,” the acting general mayor of the capital said.
The opening of the first Municipal Youth Centre from Chisinau is scheduled for today. This is the first public institution, which will provide a string of community services meant for all categories of young people from the Moldovan capital.
