Moldovan wrestler wins bronze medal at European Championship in Croatia
Chisinau, April 19 /MOLDPRES/- Wrestler Vasile Diacon won the bronze medal at the European Championship in Zagreb, Croatia, the National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOS) announced today.
The athlete claimed three victories in the 70 kg weight category, in front of the representatives of Slovakia, Armenia and Germany.
Diacon lost in the semi-finals to Azerbaijani Haji Aliyev, Olympic vice-champion in Tokyo in the 65 kg category.
