PHOTO Europe Day 2025 continued in Orhei
Hundreds of children, dressed in traditional costumes from Ion Luca Caragiale Theoretical High School in Orhei brought color and joy to the local community through music and dance. This was in the context of Europe Day, marked in Orhei in the presence of EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos.
'With their voice, courage and involvement, young people are building a future where every citizen matters, where freedom, dignity and human rights are fundamental values. Today, Orhei showed that Europe is a community of shared ideals, living in the hearts of those who believe in freedom and dignity', the EU Delegation to Chisinau said.
This May, the EU Delegation to Moldova, along with the embassies of the EU member states are marking Europe Day 2025 in several regions of Moldova.
This year, Europe Day celebrates the 75th anniversary of the Schuman Declaration (May 9, 1950), which laid the foundation of the European Union. Europe Day 2025 emphasizes the fundamental values that have underpinned the formation and development of the European Union.
Europe Day 2025 will highlight the continuous support of the European Union and its member states for Moldova. Special focus will be placed on the cultural heritage of the Republic of Moldova.
