Norway defeats Moldova 5-0 in opening of 2026 World Cup Qualifiers
The national football team of Moldova has debuted with a defeat in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, being defeated by Norway's national team with a score of 5-0, at the Zimbru Stadium from Chisinau.
The Norwegians opened the score in the 5th minute, quickly taking control of the match. By halftime, the visitors scored three more times, establishing a categorical 4-0 advantage. In the second half, the Nordics scored once more, closing the scoreboard at 5-0.
Moldova’s next match in the qualifiers is scheduled for March 25, when the Moldovan footballers will meet Estonia's national team.
