Two sportsmen from south Moldova awarded prizes by district authorities

Chisinau, 17 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Cimislia district council earlier this week organized a festive event dedicated to free-style wrestlers, Ion Demian, born in the Sagaidac village, who won the title of European U-20 champion in free-style wrestling, category 92 kg (the championship was held in Rome) and Lilian Balan, born in Cimislia, European vice champion in U-23 freestyle wrestling, weight category of 86 kg (the competition took place in the Plovdiv city, Bulgaria).

The district’s administration awarded to the sportsmen diplomas and money prizes ‘’as a token of appreciation for the high performances achieved at national international competitions, devotion, civic spirit in the promotion of the values pf performance sport and image of Moldova internationally.’’
