Orthodox Christians celebrate Holy Easter, considered the greatest feast of Christianity, which signifies the Resurrection of the Lord. On this occasion, Easter services were held in churches throughout Moldova. The churches became overcrowded with believers who came to receive the Holy Light brought from Jerusalem, while the greeting, Christ is Risen! spoken by everyone, becomes a symbol of joy and hope.

The feast is observed with deep devotion and respect, combining religious customs with folk traditions passed down from generation to generation.
