Governor of National Bank of Moldova attends third edition of Career Week at BNM

The central bank and the general public must have an open and transparent dialogue, which is to facilitate the understanding of the processes and decisions to strengthen the stability of the financial and banking system. Governor of the National Bank of Moldova (BNM) Anca Dragu today made statements to this effect at the third edition of the event, Career Week at BNM.

Anca Dragu emphasized the principle of meritocracy in the professional development of employees, also stressing that the institution invests in streamlining processes and technology, in order to create an environment where each person's competencies are supported and valued.

‘’At the National Bank of Moldova, organizational culture is the foundation on which we build trust; team spirit is the force that unites us, and open communication is the bond that turns talented professionals into a community capable of serving the public interest with rigor, integrity, and vision,’’ emphasized the BNM governor.

The governor of the National Bank urged students to be curious to learn about the central bank's activities from the inside, by participating in internship programmes, such as the BNM NextGen project, which gives young people the opportunity to engage in the activities of various subdivisions of the central bank, gaining experience in such areas as monetary policy, financial stability, banking supervision, international relations and European integration, budgeting and accounting, information technologies, etc.

The 200 students participated in four workshops on banking supervision, financial markets, bank resolution, finance and accounting.

At the same time, the young participants had the chance to talk with representatives of the BNM subdivisions, in order to learn about career prospects in the financial and banking sector.

Career Week at BNM, held till November 28, 2025, also includes a string of visits by the BNM team to educational institutions in Balti and Cahul, where topic-related presentations and dialogue sessions with students will be organized.
