Ministry of Culture requests authorities be informed before inviting foreign artists

The Ministry of Culture has requested that cultural institutions and agencies inform the authorities in advance when inviting artists from abroad, especially from CIS states to performances and events organized in the Republic of Moldova. The measure aims to assess potential risks and prevent situations that could generate public tensions or image problems, without banning international cultural collaborations.

According to the Ministry of Culture, prior notification will allow for an analysis of the context of the participation of invited artists and the responsible management of cultural projects. The initiative does not limit freedom of artistic expression but seeks to ensure that events take place in a framework that respects democratic values.

Cultural institutions and agencies are encouraged to collaborate with the authorities to ensure transparency and the proper organization of artistic activities. The Ministry emphasizes that cultural spaces must remain open to dialogue, but international collaborations must be managed responsibly.
