Moldovan PM attends eighth edition of Neurologists' Congress
Prime Minister Dorin Recean, at the eighth edition of the Neurologists' Congress held in Moldova, has appreciated the recent launch of the NeuroDiaspora.MD network, aimed at promoting cooperation between specialists from Moldova and members of the medical Diaspora, in order to facilitate the transfer of knowledge and professional experience. The PM highlighted that doctors from the Diaspora can connect hospitals, universities and home companies with centers of excellence worldwide, thereby amplifying national potential.
At the same time, Prime Minister Dorin Recean highlighted the efforts of the neurological community to integrate the latest technologies, especially the exercise, on these days, of innovative thrombectomy protocols assisted by artificial intelligence, as well as presentations of new paradigms of recovery after strokes, supported by specialists from Barcelona, Mainz and Sacramento.
The prime minister also emphasized the importance of brain health, one of the greatest challenges of the 21st century. “In the face of rapid technological changes and the accelerated aging of the population, brain health is emerging as the new key indicator of well-being. Let us view brain health not as a medical expense, but as a strategic investment in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP): when we invest in brains, we actually invest in the future of the entire society,” said the PM.
The eighth edition of the Congress of the Society of Neurologists from Moldova, held on June 13-14, represents a scientific forum of excellence that promotes international exchange of knowledge, the development of professional networks, and the application of the most advanced practices and research in neurology.
