Moldovan parliament approves resignation of Octavian Calmic from office of Director of National Energy Regulatory Agency
Chisinau, 21 July /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today approved the resignation of Octavian Calmic from the office of director of the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE).
The decision was approved after Calmic had submitted an application on resignation on 15 July 2022.
At the same time, the parliament’s commission for economy, budget and finances will organize a contest on selection of the candidate for the vacant position.
Octavian Calmic was appointed ANRE director in March 2019. During 2016-2017, he acted as economics minister in the cabinet led by Pavel Filip.
The administrative board of the National Energy Regulatory Agency is made up of five directors, appointed to office by the parliament, on contest basis.
