Moldovan head of state wishes singer Satoshi success before participation in Eurovision Song Contest 2026
President Maia Sandu met singer Satoshi and wished him success before his departure to Vienna, where he will represent Moldova at the Eurovision 2026 song contest with the track, Viva, Moldova!
“I wished Satoshi success and told him we can’t wait to see him perform. I am glad that he will carry our country’s name further on this important international stage. We stand by him and keep our fingers crossed – from home and from the Diaspora,” the head of state said.
Satoshi will perform in the first semifinal, on May 12, alongside 15 other contestants. The grand final of the contest will take place on May 16.
In 2026, Eurovision marks 70 years since its first edition, and Moldova is at its 20th participation.
