Saturday, 9 May
President Nicolae Timofti and Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici participate in events dedicated to the end of the Second World War, Day of Victory over Fascism, at the Eternity memorial venue at 10:00.

The Chisinau City Hall organises a commemoration programme dedicated to the victims of the Second World War in a concert titled "In Memoriam" by maestro Eugen Doga and Symphonic Orchestra of the Maria Biesu National Opera and Ballet at 13:00 on the Great National Assembly Square.

Chisinau Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca holds a press conference titled "The Hour of Europe" at the B. P. Hasdeu municipal library at 14:00.

The Youth and Sports Ministry organises a national conference on strengthening youth district and municipal councils at the Vila Verde hotel, on 8-9 May, at 10:00.

On the occasion of Europe Day, passersby may take home thousands of books for free on the pedestrian street at 16:00.

The fifth issue of European Spring of Poets 2015 International Festival is held on 6-9 May.

The EU Delegation to Moldova, in cooperation with the Moldovan government and Chisinau City Hall, invite to the official opening of European Village 2015. A press briefing takes place at 13:20 at the Press Centre. The event takes place on the Great National Assembly Square at 13:00.
