Suspicious drone‑like object detected on apartment block in central sector of Moldovan capital
A drone-like object was detected last night on a residential block in the central sector of the capital, after a citizen alerted the authorities via an emergency call.
According to the Police, specialists from the Technical and Explosive Section intervened on the scene and secured the perimeter to prevent any potential risks. For safety reasons, the residents of the stairway were temporarily evacuated until the checks were completed and the object was removed.
Preliminary data indicate that the object is damaged, possibly after hitting the building’s roof. The device will undergo detailed examinations to determine its origin and exact nature.
The police are continuing investigations to clarify all the circumstances of the case.
In this context, law enforcement reiterates its call to the population not to touch unknown or suspicious objects and to immediately notify the 112 Service in such situations.
