Prime Minister in dialogue with Chairwoman of Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu held a meeting today with Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Borjana Krišto, on the sidelines of Three Seas Initiative Summit in Dubrovnik. The officials discussed strengthening bilateral relations in the context of the two states’ shared European aspirations.

“We have a constructive and continuously developing relationship, based on mutual respect and common European aspirations. We are strengthening dialogue with partners in the region in order to better harness cooperation opportunities,” said Munteanu.

The parties addressed the exchange of experience regarding the European Union accession process and institutional reforms, as well as cooperation in combating disinformation. Our country expressed its readiness to share its experience in this field, including in the context of the elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, scheduled for October 2026.

The discussions also covered the expansion of economic cooperation, including in the areas of infrastructure, energy, transport and tourism, as well as facilitating access for Moldovan products to foreign markets. At the same time, the proposal to conclude a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of tourism was welcomed.

So far, the Republic of Moldova and Bosnia and Herzegovina have concluded nine bilateral agreements, while another six documents, including in the fields of transport, customs, health, migration, education and tourism, are currently under negotiation.
