Our Party of Moldova starts electoral campaign
Our Party has officially started the electoral campaign through an event organized in Rediul Mare village, northern Donduseni district—the locality of the grandparents of the party’s leader, Renato Usatii. He said that the party's goal was victory in the election, not just participation.
“Today, we are here, along with the entire team of Our Party, to do everything possible to give life not only to the villages, localities and rivers in our country. We must give life to the entire country. We are ready to enter these elections not just to participate, but to win,” Usatii said.
The leader of Our Party also presented a package of 29 draft laws, which he claims are ready to be promoted in parliament. Among them, there are: banning the sale of agricultural land to foreign citizens; establishing electronic pharmacies in each village, at the headquarters of mayoralties; abolishing parliamentary immunity; increasing penalties for corruption committed by officials; amendments to the Fiscal Code and Criminal Code; support programmes for young entrepreneurs.
“Without good roads and support for businesses, people will continue to leave. We come with a clear vision: to build a modern, prosperous and united Moldova, where good roads, jobs and citizens’ safety represent a norm, not a luxury,” said candidate Nina Cereteu.
The launch event took place nearby a well in the village, where Usatii promised participants a “water tasting,” invoking the symbolism of the place for his family.
