Extraordinary Chinese music concert, dedicated to China's National Day, held at Chisinau-based Organ Hall

Chinese music performed by the Symphony Orchestra of the Teleradio-Moldova Company on August 29 evening resounded at the Chisinau-based Organ Hall, during a concert marking the 76th anniversary of the foundation of the People's Republic of China.

The audience was greeted by the chargé d'affaires of China’s Embassy in Moldova,  Wang Lyuxin. The Chinese diplomat thanked Moldova’s Culture Ministry and the Teleradio-Moldova Company for organizing this event and conveyed congratulations to the citizens of Moldova on the occasion of Independence Day, marked on August 27.

‘’Music is a language in which nothing remains unsaid. It speaks directly to the heart. Love, freedom, dignity, peace – these values unite us all. The Republic of Moldova is now celebrating its 34th anniversary of independence. On behalf of the Chinese Embassy, allow me to extend our warmest congratulations. Through the language of music, we wish the people of Moldova peace, harmony and an even brighter future. I hope you all enjoy the concert,’’ said Wang Lyuxin.

The Symphony Orchestra of the Teleradio-Moldova Company performed some of the most valuable works of Chinese music – the Violin Concerto, The Butterfly Lovers, and the Piano Concerto, The Yellow River. Both are modern classics, well-known in China and abroad. The musical pieces combine Chinese folk traditions with Western symphonic form.
