
Moldovan president has phone conversation with Polish head of state
President Maia Sandu today had a telephone conversation with President of Poland Karol Nawrocki, who took over his office on August 6, 2025. The Moldovan head of state congratulated him on assuming the office and wished him success in his presidential mandate.
The two heads of state agreed to continue the very good cooperation between Moldova and Poland and to deepen the economic ties by encouraging investments, increasing trade exchanges and creating new opportunities for the business environment in both countries.
The discussion also focused on the European path of Moldova. Poland is a strong supporter of Moldova’s advancement towards EU membership. In the context, the officials emphasized the importance of the integrity of parliamentary elections in Moldova and countering foreign interferences.
Ath the same time, the conversation agenda included aspects related to regional security, considering the Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine. The sides agreed to boost cooperation, in order to maintain stability, restore peace in the region and enhance resilience against external challenges.
