Parliament passed 45 normative acts in June, including pro-European laws and social measures for employees and youth

In June, the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova convened in five plenary sessions, during which 45 normative acts were adopted, including 39 laws and six decisions.

According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, last month lawmakers voted in the first reading on 69 legislative initiatives, and 81 projects entered the legislative process.

Among the most important adopted initiatives are: the provision of vacation vouchers for employees, allowance of 3,000 lei for young people employed in strategic industries in their first year of work, and the establishment of National Fathers' Day. Additionally, fathers of twins or triplets will benefit from extended paternal leave and adjusted allowances.

Also in June, the Parliament ratified international agreements in the education and cybersecurity and adopted a Declaration of support for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Voted in the first reading was the amendment of the state budget for 2025, which includes, among other things, a one-off aid of 1,000 lei for students in grades I–IX, increased allowances for participants in Chernobyl aftermath liquidation, and higher scholarships for young people in paid internships in the public sector.

Other examined initiatives include the regulation of freelancer activities and a new citizenship law.
