Moldovan authorities announce special measures at border amid transit of Hasidic pilgrims
Relevant authorities informs that they have prepared special measures to manage the increased flow of travelers through state border crossing points, amid the transit of Hasidic pilgrims. The measures are being implemented as of September 7 till September 17, when an increase in the number of travelers is expected, including through Eugen Doga International Airport – Chisinau.
The Border Police, in cooperation with the Customs Service, the airport administration, and the other authorities and services involved, say they have adapted their operations to ensure the continuous and efficient processing of traveler flows.
Depending on traffic dynamics, staffing levels will be increased, while the situation at border crossing points will be continuously monitored. Available resources and the measures implemented will be adjusted promptly according to needs.
The authorities say they are prepared to manage the expected flows, so that border crossings can take place under normal conditions for all travelers. At the same time, they are working to maintain smooth traffic and minimize any potential inconveniences.
The Border Police recommends that travelers plan their journeys in advance during this period and follow official information regarding the situation at the border.
