The Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy for the first time ever is present in the World University Rankings UNIRANKS-2024. The institution ranked 4th nationally and 5252nd worldwide.

 The UNIRANKS ranking recognizes universities that stand out through their achievements in teaching, research, employment and institutional sustainability. UNIRANKS is a global ranking tool which ensures fairness, rigorous academic standards and improved employment prospects for students. UNIRANKS integrates the UN's Sustainable Development Goals into each of its main indicators by incorporating sub-indicators that align with these global objectives.

Data collection and analysis is conducted through five ways and include 37,383 international universities and over 2.5 million academic staff registered on the respective ranking platform. Also, UNIRANKS is the first platform which focuses on the latest university ranking mechanisms, introducing the concept of open rank and highlighting modern methodologies based on transparency and equality.
