Parliament appointed new member to ANRE Board of Directors
Parliament appointed a new member to the Board of Directors of the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) on Thursday. The deputies voted to appoint Daniel Mititelu as the institution’s director for a six-year term.
Daniel Mititelu’s candidacy was submitted to Parliament following a public competition, in which 10 people applied. Of these, eight candidates were admitted to the interview stage, and after the evaluation, Mititelu obtained the highest score.
According to information presented by the authorities, Daniel Mititelu has more than 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He specializes in drilling operations management, team coordination and cost optimization, and throughout his career he has held leadership positions in international projects carried out in the Middle East.
Daniel Mititelu was appointed after the mandate of the former director, Violina Șpac, expired. The Parliament’s decision will enter into force on May 11, 2026.
The ANRE Board of Directors consists of five directors, who are appointed by Parliament with a majority vote of the deputies.
