Parliament marks Museum Night with special program for public

The Parliament of the Republic of Moldova will open its doors to visitors on Museum Night, offering the public a special program with interactive activities dedicated to the history of parliamentarism, democracy, and the country’s European future. The event will take place on Saturday, May 16, between 18:00 and 21:00.

The initiative is organized to mark both Museum Night and Parliament Day, celebrated annually on May 23.

Visitors will have the opportunity to discover the evolution of the parliamentary institution and take part in interactive activities designed to familiarize the public with the legislative process and civic engagement.

The program will begin in the Parliament square, where the institution’s vintage cars will be on display and a photo area will be set up featuring national symbols. On the ground floor of the building, the public will be able to visit the Parliament’s museum, which displays documents, photographs, and objects illustrating important moments in the legislature’s activity. Interactive contests will also be organized here, and citizens will be able to propose ideas for a more transparent Parliament that is closer to the people.

On the second floor, participants will have the opportunity to deliver simulated speeches in the Parliament’s plenary chamber. Short films about the institution’s activity will be screened in the plenary hall, while the foyer will host photo zones and a dedicated children’s area. The third floor will be reserved for the European theme. Visitors will be able to explore an exhibition dedicated to the libraries of European states and student projects, and will also have access to the Europe Hall, where official meetings and sessions of the Standing Bureau are usually held.

Access will be without prior registration, based on an identity card. Children do not need documents but must be accompanied by an adult.
