The second Mobile Intervention Company in Moldova today was inaugurated in Ungheni, as part of the 1st Carabineers Regiment Mihai Viteazul, under the Center Regional Directorate. The new company is ready to immediately respond to emergency requests received by the 112 Service and maintain public order for the safety of the community.
Present at the event, Interior Minister Daniella Misail-Nichitin emphasized that this mobile company was a flexible instrument for rapid response and operational support.
“Today in Ungheni, we launched the new Mobile Intervention Company, alongside carabineers ready to act quickly where needed. It is our duty to be close to people, to provide support and bring safety to communities. Through constant patrolling and interventions, we ensure that everyone can feel protected and at ease in their settlement. The mobility of the teams and logistical equipment allows the carabineers to quickly reach any locality and protect citizens and their properties,” said Daniella Misail-Nichitin.
On the ground, the carabineers will patrol and intervene where necessary, providing direct assistance to families and communities. In cooperation with the Border Police on the Moldovan-Romanian segment, they contribute to a safer border and the prevention of cross-border risks and illegal trafficking.
Thus, through constant patrolling and deterrence actions, antisocial acts are reduced and a climate of trust is created. In critical situations, the mobile company can rapidly intervene, in order to protect infrastructure and support residents affected by calamities or crises.
The new company was created following the experience of the first company in Edinet and is part of the plan to have five such active structures all over Moldova.
