
Moldovan wrestler wins bronze medal at World Wrestling Championships
Chisinau, 22 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Wrestler Irina Rîngaci won the bronze medal at the World Wrestling Championships, held in Belgrade, Serbia. Thus, she qualified for the Olympic Games in Paris.
According to the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC), Irina Rîngaci completed the podium in the weight category of up to 68 kg. Coming from the requalifications, she defeated the Japanese Ami Ishii in the duel for the bronze medal.
This is the third medal won by the women's wrestling team at the world competition in Belgrade, after Anastasia Nichita won the silver medal at 57 kg and Mariana Draguțan - bronze at 55 kg.
