"The construction of these 6 km of road took seven years, but the works progressed at a fast pace only in the last year. Our objective is not only to build roads, but also to build them quickly, according to standards. Thanks to external partners, we manage to demonstrate that Moldova has European roads, which can be built without deviations", said Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spînu, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development.
Following the implementation of the project, the roadway was built, using more than 12 thousand tons of asphalt, and the drainage system that allows the evacuation of rainwater. Also, in order to organize road traffic and increase the level of safety for road users, more than 100 road signs were installed and more than 3000 square meters of road markings were applied.
The construction works started in 2015, and the total value of the project is about ten million euros, money offered as a grant by the European Union through the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
