Moldovan parliament to convene at plenary meeting on 19 June
The parliament will convene at a plenary meeting on 19 June. The standing bureau today approved the supplement to the agenda.
During the session, the MPs will discuss, in the first reading, draft on amendments to budget’s rectification for 2025, the draft law on the state distinctions of Moldova, drafts for amending the Audiovisual Media Services Code of Moldova, the Fiscal Code, the Law on the free transfer of housing to participants in the Chernobyl relief works and the Law on administrative and territorial organization of Moldova.
At the same time, in the second reading, the lawmakers will discuss the legislative initiative on the cancellation of customs debts and related penalties for importing vehicles intended for people with mobility disabilities. In the third reading, MPs will consider the draft on the amendment of the law on natural gas and the draft on supporting the digital economy and electronic services.
The deputies are to examine three draft laws for harmonizing national legislation with EU legislation. They include the draft law on medicines, the draft amendment to the Law on Advertising and the draft concerning standardization, accreditation, and conformity assessment.
The parliament is to ratify an amendment to the Financing Agreement with the International Development Association, which will ensure the legal framework for additional funding for the Higher Education Project and the extension of its implementation period in Moldova until December 31, 2029. Moreover, an amendment to the Loan Agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will also be ratified for the implementation of the Balti Municipality’s Thermal Energy System project, phase II.
