DOC // State Tax Service blocked funds allegedly under indirect control of person subject to restrictive measures

The State Tax Service (STS) has ordered the blocking of funds and economic resources under the indirect control of Vladimir Andronachi, subject to restrictive measures, according to the decision of the Inter-Institutional Supervisory Council. The decision in this regard was published today in the Official Journal.

According to the document, the decision to block the funds is applied "following investigations that confirm the transaction for the alienation of the social share of the company 'AC Full-Service' is an attempt to replace founder Ruslan Alass, a person associated with the subject of the restrictions - Vladimir Andronachi, according to the SIS Order, with an unassociated person - Veaceslav Neagu, but who is in related interest connections with the subject of the restrictions according to the decision of the Inter-Institutional Supervisory Council, Vladimir Andronachi, aiming to circumvent international restrictive measures".

The decision was forwarded to the Public Services Agency for execution. At the same time, it was also sent for information to the Intelligence and Security Service, the Inter-Institutional Supervisory Council, the Service for the Prevention and Combating of Money Laundering, and the persons concerned. The decision can be appealed to the State Tax Service within 30 days upon communication.

In mid-June, the authorities announced that the Republic of Moldova, through the Inter-Institutional Supervisory Council led by Prime Minister Dorin Recean imposed sanctions on 21 individuals. Among the targeted individuals are Vladimir Plahotniuc, Ilan Shor, Gheorghe Cavcaliuc, Marina Tauber, Andronachi Vladimir, Platon Veaceslav, Botnari Constantin, Kalinin Alexandr (whose citizenship has been revoked), Caramalac Grigore, Chiril Guzun, Arina Corșicova, Dumitru Chitoroagă, Maria Albot, Victor Petrov, Evghenia Guțul, Iurii Cuznețov, Nelli Parutenco, Ilia Uzun, Mihail Vlah, Anatolii Prizenko, Parasca Natalia.

Previously, the STS applied restrictions on transactions and/or activities of several companies allegedly under the control of individuals subject to international sanctions.
