Deputy Prime Minister met with European Commissioner
The progress made by the Republic of Moldova in the justice, combating corruption, and strengthening democratic institutions was discussed by Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov with Michael McGrath, European Commissioner for Democracy, Justice and Rule of Law in Brussels.
Another topic was the parliamentary election held on September 28, 2025.
“We also talked about the recent elections, an exercise we managed to organize in a correct, transparent manner and ensured the integrity of the electoral process despite all challenges and attempts of external interference,” emphasized Cristina Gherasimov.
The Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration thanked the European partners for their support and mentioned that the authorities will continue to complete the reforms because “the people of the Republic of Moldova deserve to live in a state where the law is applied correctly and institutions work for the citizens.”
Cristina Gherasimov is paying an official visit to Brussels on October 14-16, to attend high-level meetings dedicated to the EU enlargement process and strengthening cooperation with European institutions.
