Moldova's Customs Service collects over 656 million lei to state budget in last week
Chisinau, 4 September /MOLDPRES/ -The Customs Service collected over 656.3 million lei (about 32.8 million euros) during 28 August- 3 September.
In this time interval, private people brought in Moldova assets, the value of which in customs exceeds the non-taxable limit; thus, payments worth over 26.6 million lei were collected, which accounts for 4.1 per cent of all sum. The money collected from tax payers is transferred directly to the state budget and redistributed for salaries, developing the infrastructure, social projects, etc.
At the same time, 11,135 customs declarations were processed last week and the flow of transport means stood at 95,864 crossings. The most transited customs checkpoints stay Leuseni and Sculeni, with 23,663 and, respectively, 17,271crossings.
Since the beginning of this year, the Customs Service has collected about 22.85 billion lei to the state budget, which is by 3.2 per cent more against the same period of 2022.
