Moldovan PM conveys message to border police on 34th anniversary of institution's foundation
Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu today delivered a message on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of the creation of the General Inspectorate of the Border Police (IGPF). The official emphasized that the country’s safety, the proper functioning of borders and citizens’ trust in state institutions depended on the work of border police officers.
“Every day, at border crossing points, on the roads, in airports or on missions that are less visible to the public, hundreds of people are doing their duty with seriousness and responsibility. Our safety, the proper functioning of borders and citizens’ trust in state institutions depend on their work,” said Alexandru Munteanu.
The PM thanked IGPF employees for their work and dedication.
“Today, I thank all Border Police employees for their professionalism, dedication and the way they represent Moldova at every entry to and exit from the country. At 34 years since the foundation of the institution, we appreciate not only its results and modernization, but above all the people behind them. Happy anniversary to the Border Police,” concluded Alexandru Munteanu.
The Border Police today celebrates 34 years since its founding; the institution was created on June 10, 1992. The event was marked in Chisinau through an official ceremony during which diplomas were awarded to more IGPF employees.
