Prime Minister on visit to Sofia to attend South-East European Cooperation Process Summit

Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova Alexandru Munteanu is taking part today in the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) Summit, held in Sofia, Republic of Bulgaria.

During the visit, he will have a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev. In addition, on the sidelines of the Summit, Munteanu will meet with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Đuro Macut.

At the Summit’s plenary session, Munteanu will deliver a speech dedicated to strengthening regional cooperation, security, and sustainable development in South-East Europe. This year’s meeting is held under the motto “Strengthening Regional Unity for a Stable, Secure and Sustainable Future – Reflecting on 30 Years of Partnership and Progress”.

The Summit’s agenda also includes the adoption of the SEECP Final Declaration, the handover ceremony of the Chairmanship-in-Office to Romania, and discussions on regional priorities for the coming period.

SEECP is the main format for political dialogue and regional cooperation in South-East Europe, bringing together the leaders of participating states to promote stability, security, and prosperity in the region.
