
Moldovan deputy PM participates in informal meeting of EU's General Affairs Council
Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov on September 1 and 2 participates in the informal meeting of the European Union's General Affairs Council, held in Copenhagen. The title of the event is, The Copenhagen Criteria and Gradual Integration. The event brings together European affairs ministers from the 27 EU member states, as well as representatives from candidate countries, including Moldova.
The visit's agenda includes, in addition to discussions within the Council, more bilateral meetings with European officials, among whom Denmark’s Minister of European Affairs, Marie Bjerre, Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Taras Kachka, as well as representatives from Croatia, Portugal and Hungary.
At the same time, Cristina Gherasimov will meet the civil society and young people from Denmark, emphasizing the importance of public’s participation in the European integration process and strengthening bilateral relations.
