
Lithuania to provide Moldova with 11,000 doses of COVID vaccine
Chisinau, 15 May /MOLDPRES/- During the visit of Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda to Chisinau, Vilnius government decided to provide Moldova with 11 thousand doses of COVID vaccine to fight the pandemic, the presidential press service has reported.
"On behalf of the citizens of our country, I thanked the President and the Government of Lithuania for this beautiful gesture of solidarity," said Maia Sandu.
At the end of the visit, the two officials planted a tree in the Botanica Garden in Chisinau, as a sign of friendship and desire to strengthen bilateral relations.
Gitanas Nauseda paid an official visit to Moldova at the invitation of Maia Sandu. This is the first visit of a Lithuanian head of state to our country in the last six years.
