Moldovan president awards Order of Republic to PhD in biological sciences
Chisinau, May 4. /MOLDPRES/- President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu today awarded Order of the Republic to Petru Tarhon, PhD in biological sciences, university professor, State Prize Laureate, Emeritus in Science and Education, the presidential press service has reported.
The distinction was awarded by the presidential decree as a sign of high appreciation of the prodigious work in the research and innovation, and special merits in the development of biological sciences.
The head of state appreciated the significant contribution of scientist Petru Tarhon to the modernization of higher education and the training of highly qualified specialists, as well as the civic courage shown in promoting national and general human values.
