Over 11,000 people found jobs through ANOFM

Over 11,000 people looking for a job have been employed since the beginning of this year with the support of the territorial subdivisions of the National Employment Agency (ANOFM). Of these, 3,417 are unemployed persons (31.1%) and 227 are day-labourer unemployed persons who were hired on fixed-term contracts of up to three months.

Minister of Labour and Social Protection Natalia Plugaru emphasized that these results show that investments in modern employment services and cooperation with employers are yielding very good results.

“We intend to continue these efforts so that more and more people can have a stable and well-paid job here, in the Republic of Moldova,” said Natalia Plugaru.

Of the total number of people employed, 41.2% are women (4,537), 18.9% are aged 55 and over (2,079), 1.7% are persons with disabilities (190), 0.5% are migrants who have returned from abroad (51), and 21 are of Roma ethnicity. The jobs were mainly in community, social and personal services (38.8%), followed by agriculture (14.9%), wholesale and retail trade (14.2%), industry (8.1%), public administration (5.2%), construction (5.6%), health and social care (3.9%), education (2.7%), and transport, storage and communications (2.2%).

ANOFM encourages jobseekers to contact the territorial employment subdivisions (STOFM), where they can benefit from counselling, career guidance and employment support. The services are free of charge and are available both to people looking for their first job and to those who are already employed but want a career change. The addresses of the territorial subdivisions can be found on the website www.anofm.md.

For additional information on employment, vacancies and hiring conditions, citizens can call the toll-free number 0 8000 1000 (Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00) or visit the portal www.angajat.md.

The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection aims to support the employment of 25,000 jobseekers in 2026. In 2025, over 20,000 people were placed in jobs through ANOFM, an increase of 20% compared to 2024.
