Romanian Prime Minister congratulates new Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Moldova

Prime Minister of Romania Ilie Bolojan sent congratulations to the new Government of the Republic of Moldova and to Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu, expressing confidence that the collaboration between the two states will continue for the benefit of citizens on both sides of the Prut.

“The aspirations of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, anchored in democratic values, freedom, and prosperity are guarantees that the European path chosen by our brothers is the correct one,” emphasized the Romanian Prime Minister.

Ilie Bolojan also added that the Government of Romania will continue to support the efforts of the authorities in Chișinău and of civil society so that the Republic of Moldova can open accession negotiations with the European Union as soon as possible.

The cabinet of ministers led by Alexandru Munteanu was sworn in today in a ceremony held at the Presidency of the Republic of Moldova in the presence of head of state Maia Sandu and speaker Igor Grosu. The new Government has 14 ministries and five deputy prime ministers, two of whom are without portfolio – for European Integration and Reintegration.
