President appoints Alexandru Munteanu as candidate for Prime Minister of Moldova
Following consultations with parliamentary factions, President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu today signed a decree appointing Alexandru Munteanu as candidate for the position of Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova.
“I wish him success in forming a government that will gain the confidence of the Parliament and meet the most important expectations of the citizens: protecting peace, preparing the country for EU accession, strengthening the economy, and improving the people's living standards,” the head of state said.
The appointed candidate is expected to present the team and the governing program to parliament in order to obtain a vote of confidence and swear in the new Government of the Republic of Moldova.
