
Moldovan president invites citizens to March of Sovereignty
President Maia Sandu invites citizens to the March of Sovereignty. The event will take place June 23, 2025, on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Sovereignty. The march represents a moment of celebration of the first major victory in the struggle for national revival and liberation. In her message, the president emphasized that, on June 23, 1990, Moldovans had ruled that the will of the people was supreme and that they wanted to live in a free state.
People willing to participate in the event are expected at 19:00, at the monument to Ion and Doina Aldea-Teodorovici, on Alexei Mateevici Street from Chisinau.
‘’I invite you to the March of Sovereignty, to celebrate the courage of our forebearers and our common aspiration to live freely and with dignity in Moldova,’’ said President Maia Sandu.
