
Sixteen more judges passed external evaluation
The Judges' Evaluation Committee has completed the external evaluation procedure for 16 judges and candidates for vacant positions within the Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Justice.
The candidates who passed the evaluation for the position of judge at the Supreme Court of Justice are Dumitru Calendari, Iurie Chirica, Alexandru Negru and Gheorghe Stratulat.
Judges evaluated and promoted at the Northern and Southern Courts of Appeal are Ghenadie Liulca, Andrei Mironov, Elena Grumeza, Vitalie Movilă and Grigore Colev.
Additionally, seven other candidates for vacant positions at the Central and Northern Courts of Appeal passed the evaluation: Eleonora Badan-Melnic, Andrei Cașcaval, Diana Corlăteanu, Serghei Dimitriu, Ivan Parii, Elena Bolocan and Violeta Gârleanu.
According to legal procedures, the CSM is to examine the Committee's conclusions in a public session and decide on their acceptance or rejection.
Since the beginning of its activity, the Committee has received 180 applications under the three laws on external evaluation. 58 individuals have withdrawn or resigned, while four have previously passed the pre-vetting process. So far, 88 evaluations have been completed, while another 30 are ongoing.
