Reality Concerns You │ Valeriu Chiveri: Transnistrian region integral part of Moldova, and presence of Russian troops on left bank of Dniester River represents major obstacle in conflict settlement process
Since September 2009, the Government has included a Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration. Since 2019, the 5+2 negotiation format, designed to resolve the Transnistrian conflict, has no longer been functional.
The recent meeting between the political representatives of Chișinău and Tiraspol in the 1+1 format is described as a "routine meeting", organized after a long pause.
The Transnistrian case: a frozen conflict or a crisis deliberately maintained?
What real chances are there to resolve the conflict in an increasingly turbulent international climate?
