Deputy Prime Minister: Presence of Russian troops on left bank of Dniester River - major impediment to Transnistrian settlement process
Since September 2009, the Government has included a Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration. Since 2019, the 5+2 negotiation format, designed to resolve the Transnistrian conflict, has no longer been functional.
The recent meeting between the political representatives of Chișinău and Tiraspol in the 1+1 format is described as a "routine meeting", organized after a long pause.
The Transnistrian case: a frozen conflict or a crisis deliberately maintained?
What real chances are there to resolve the conflict in an increasingly turbulent international climate?
What are the current limits of the negotiations, and how prepared is the government in Chișinău to manage this challenge in parallel with the European integration path?
We seek answers at the show "Reality Concerns You" with Valentina Ursu and Valeriu Chiveri, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration.
