Security restrictions in Israel extended until 9 March; outbound flights to resume gradually
Security restrictions in Israel have been extended until Monday, 9 March 2026, at 20:00, and Ben Gurion Airport will gradually resume outbound flights from the country starting 8 March.
According to the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the State of Israel, the Home Front Command announced that the restrictive measures remain in force in the context of the security situation. At the same time, the Israeli Ministry of Transport announced the gradual resumption of departing flights from Ben Gurion Airport.
In the first stage, air operations will be carried out by El Al, Israir, Arkia and Air Haifa. However, the authorities have set an initial limit of a maximum of 50 passengers per flight, in order to comply with the security regulations imposed by the Home Front Command.
The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Israel recommends that Moldovan citizens strictly follow the precautionary measures and monitor official announcements regarding the evolution of the situation.
Citizens of the Republic of Moldova who are in Israel can request urgent consular assistance at the phone numbers +972 52 278 7326 and +972 52 778 9772 or by email at tel-aviv@mfa.gov.md.
