
Delegation from UK Parliament visits Chișinău
A delegation from the Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is visiting Chișinău on 12-15 May.
The delegation includes members of the House of Commons, Anneliese Dodds and John Whittingdale, as well as member of the House of Lords, Lord Randall of Uxbridge.
At the Parliament, the British officials have scheduled meetings with speaker Igor Grosu, MPs from the parliamentary majority and opposition, and members of the parliamentary friendship group between the two countries.
The visit agenda also includes discussions with President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu and representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Additionally, the officials will meet with representatives from the Center for Strategic Communication and Countering Disinformation, the Central Electoral Commission, the Audiovisual Council and the Cybersecurity Agency.
The discussions will cover various current topics, including preparation for the parliamentary elections on September 28 and potential areas of cooperation to counter Russian interference in our country.
