The meeting is taking place on May 11-12, hosted by the Hungarian Parliament in Budapest.
'EU Speakers Conference has begun in Budapest, where, along with President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola and my counterparts from over 40 European countries we will discuss the future of Europe,' Grosu said.
Presidents of EU parliaments, President of the European Parliament and presidents of the parliaments of candidate countries will discuss common current topics concerning the future of Europe. During the first discussion session, there will be an exchange of views on aspects related to the future of the European Union. The second session will address regionalism in Europe and the protection of European cultural identity. At the end of the two sessions, the final declaration of the conference will be adopted.
In Budapest, Grosu has planned meetings with his counterparts from several EU countries, as well as with Moldovan citizens who live, study or work in Hungary.
