New director of ANRE Board of Directors appointed today
MPs appointed Eugen Carpov as director of the Board of Directors of the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) on 27 February. His candidacy was approved by 55 deputies.
Carpov was appointed for a term of six years, starting from 6 March 2025.
Also today, the parliament noted the termination of Veaceslav Untilă's mandate as director of the ANRE Board of Directors.
Eugen Carpov's candidacy was proposed after the Economy, Budget and Finance Commission organized a public competition, where 14 candidates were admitted, and Eugen Carpov scored the highest. Carpov holds a law degree and has been serving as the director of ANRE since 2019.
The ANRE Board of Directors consists of five directors, appointed by the Parliament based on competition.
