Bomb alert at Vălcineț border crossing point: Explosive BRAVO signal activated for Bucharest-Kiev train
The Border Police activated today at 12:57 the Explosive BRAVO signal at Otaci Border Police Sector, following information regarding a suspected bomb on Bucharest-Kiev train, located at Vălcineț border crossing point, exiting the Republic of Moldova.
According to the Border Police, at 12:50, the train conductor was informed by the Moldovan Railways dispatch service, Vălcineț station, about a previously transmitted alert. According to it, the train manager had been notified by Ukrzaliznytsia, the Ukrainian Railways that a male individual had called the hotline and reported a suspected bomb on train no. 100, composed of four carriages.
Immediately after receiving the information, all competent authorities were alerted and mobilized, intervening on-site and conducting checks according to legal procedures. The measures aim to ensure the safety of passengers, railway staff and infrastructure.
The Border Police notes that they treat any report of this nature with the utmost responsibility and will inform the public as confirmed data emerges.
