Group of French senators to visit Chișinău
A delegation from France-Moldova Friendship Parliamentary Group of the Senate of the French Republic will visit our country. The French senators will be in Chișinău on 10-12 June.
In Parliament, the French senators have meetings scheduled with speaker Igor Grosu and members of the Friendship Group with the French Republic, led by deputy Marcela Adam. The officials will meet with representatives of the Action and Solidarity Party faction and the Communist and Socialist Bloc faction.
The visit's agenda also includes discussions with President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu, Prime Minister Dorin Recean and Minister of Labor and Social Protection Alexei Buzu.
The French senators also have scheduled meetings with representatives of non-governmental organizations and with the mayor of Peresecina village, Orhei district, Valentina Buzu. The officials will also visit Orhei District Hospital, a kindergarten where French is taught and a community center.
The topics discussed will address opportunities for intensifying Moldovan-French collaboration, including at the parliamentary level, as well as France's experience in the process of joining the European Union and the practices that Moldova could adopt.
