
Moldovan central electoral body receives documents for registration of initiative group
Chisinau, 30 August /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has received the sets of documents for the registration of an initiative group for the support of the candidate for the office of Moldova’s president, Vasile Bolea, nominated by a group of citizens.
Also today, the Political Party Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe requested the registration as participant in the republican constitutional referendum due on 20 October 2024, with the ‘’YES’’ option.
CEC, on a period of three days after the documents’ reception, will consider their correctness and will decide on the registration of refusal to register the initiative group and the participant in the referendum.
Till 29 August, CEC registered 12 initiative groups for backing the candidate for the office of Moldova’s president.
